BIENNIAL 2012

              Four Saturdays - four locations – one Region celebrating together our unity in Christ!  We are grateful to our host churches: Cheektowaga Community Baptist Church – Memorial Park Baptist Church, Vestal – Emmanuel Baptist Church, Albany – Bethany Baptist Church, Syracuse – for taking good care of us as we looked at our theme: “What is God Doing Among Us?”  (Ephesians 3:20-21)

          Each of our four “Morning Messengers” spoke from their experience on our theme, focusing on change, how God leads us and stays present to us through change, and how our faith informs our change.  Their messages can be found below.

A highlight of the gatherings was the opportunity to “meet and greet” Rev. Dr. James Kelsey, and to participate in his installation as our new Executive Minister.  Attendees also participated in conversations about budget & finances, Vick & Pathfinder Camp & Conference Ministries, and the Regional Enhancement and Pastoral Care Teams. 

Some comments: “The best part was the sharing of God working among us.”  “The ‘discussions’ were both lively and helpful in understanding what ABC/NYS is about.” “Great to share ideas and encouragement to take back to our own churches.”  “Let’s do this again soon.”
