Camp Vick
Camp Vick is located on Sandbank Road in Sandusky,
NY southeast of Buffalo. It is a rustic children's camp utilizing
both cabins and platform tents for sleeping quarters and providing
all the adventures of a typical summer camp. Swimming, boating,
sports and crafts are interspersed with Bible study and worship.
Children learn about God and have a great time while they do it!
Camp Vick also has a family camping area with full hookups available
from May 1 - October 14. Spring and fall weekends are available
for church and adult retreats from May 12 - October 14. Camp Vick's
200 acres provide a scenic, peaceful setting for any retreat or
meeting.
OPEN HOUSE AT CAMP
(all ages) An opportunity for pastors, campers and parents
to visit our camps and learn more about our programs. Tours will be
offered from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
SR. HIGH LEADERSHIP TRAINING
(Grades 10-12) An intensive four -day training workshop designed
to help teenagers develop leadership skills. You choose the location
or the timing that best suits your schedule. This is a prerequisite
for all teens that wish to volunteer at our camps.
FAMILY CAMP (All
ages) See Outdoor Ministries Brochure for rates has a family camping area with full hookups available from May 1 -
October 14. Spring and fall weekends are available for church and
adult retreats from May 12 - October 14. The week of July 1-7 is designed
for those families that desire a more structured program, featuring
worship and inspiration each morning and evening with your choice
of afternoon activities.
BEGINNERS (Grades
1-4) This unique overnight camping experience is designed
to give younger campers a positive camping experience in a supportive
Christian environment. The shortened week gives first time campers
a good introduction to the camp experience.
WORSHIP FESTIVAL
(All ages) A one day Christian Music Festival. Admission will
be $5 per person OR $10 per vehicle.
FRONTIER GIRLS
(Grades 5-8) Held at our Frontier Facility, this adventure
camp exposes campers to the "real" outdoors. With no electricity or
shower houses, campers learn to survive in the wilderness. Explore
building fires, cooking basic meals, boating and canoeing techniques
and first aid basics, all while supporting each other as a team.
YOUTH RETREAT
(Grades 7-12+) An exciting gathering of youth!
Come together in the morning with friends for a time filled with worship
and discussion in a retreat-like setting. Afternoons are available
for hanging out with friends and enjoying swimming, boating, sports
and games.
ELEMENTARY VILLAGE
(Grades 3-7) Come and experience all that camp
has to offer: games, crafts, swimming, boating, nature, singing and
stories. Make new friends while deepening your relationship with God
during this fun-packed week.
FRONTIER BOYS (Grades
5-8) Held at our Frontier Facility, this adventure

CREATIVE ARTS (Grades
3-9) What types of art interest you? This camp is
tailored to your interests! You tell us what you want to create and
we make it happen! Choose from singing, dancing, culinary arts, puppeteering,
tie dying, drama, music, photography, creative writing and more.
SPORTS (Grades 4-12)
If you are interested in sports and want to
have an exciting week at camp, then pack up your sports gear and come
to Camp Vick. Experience soccer, baseball, volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee
and a variety of fun games. Sports enthusiasts of all abilities will
explore the fundamentals of these sports and also learn teamwork.
FRONTIER SURVIVOR
(Grades 7-10) Test your survival skills at our Frontier
Facility and experience what it takes to be a survivor. Learn to care
for yourself and your team in the outdoors, build your own fires,
cook your own meals, struggle during reward competitions and team
challenges. Of course there are a few conveniences: we have running
water, there is no shortage of good food to eat and our focus is on
learning about God while enjoying nature.
EQUESTRIAN 1 or 2
(Grades 3-7) or (Grades 8-12) If you love horses or have ever wanted to learn how to ride,
come experience this camp. At Houghton College Equestrian Farm, beginner
and intermediate riders learn the responsibilities of basic horse
care and receive group riding lessons.
HEAVEN & EARTH
(Grades 5-9) Experience a week of cool
experiments, fun exploration and discover where you fit in God's awesome
creation. We explore: weather, plant life, animals, star gazing and
so much more!
