The Board of Mission is a representative body of 35 persons: one from each Association, nine at-large, four officers, presidents or designees of four recognized auxiliary organizations; ABCUSA Board of General Ministries representatives; and the Executive Minister. The Board establishes the policies and sets the priorities for American Baptist Churches of New York State. Members are elected at the biennial meeting for a four-year term.

The Board's ultimate responsibility is to enable American Baptists through New York State to make a difference in persons' lives, their churches, Associations, and communities.
