This team involves people from your Association who are trained and equipped to help your church in the following ways
Appropriate ways to celebrate pastoral leadership when the pastor is called to another ministry location.
Assist in locating interim pastoral leadership.
Support and guidance with a pastoral search committee
Welcoming a new pastor.
Assistance in identifying Regional resources
Someone who cares about the ministry of your church.
The Regional Enhancement Team is the way we minister to churches in the pastoral search process. These persons, from each Association, work with the Region to find answers and resources for your church. Team members provide this ministry in consultation with the leadership of your Association and under the supervision of the Associate Executive Minister of ABC/NYS. The selection of a pastor is a decision made solely by a congregation, and ABCNYS has no employment/employee relationship with local church pastors.
There are costs for this ministry – training, material resources, and travel; these expenses are supplied through the mission giving of our churches to the Region. Team members donate their time and offer their prayers for your church. It is possible that a Team member is an active member of your church. Pray for them as they pray for you! You may contact Rev.
